Bearers of the
Executive Committee
for the years 2005-2007
The Honorary Secretary shall adhere to
the following calendar of events with regard to election procedure.
By July 1, 2004 invite
nominations from among the members.
By July 31, 2004
nominations for office bearers and EC duly proposed by a valid member and
seconded by a valid member accompanied by candidate's consent and bio-data
should reach the Honorary Secretary.
By August 15, 2004 the
list of candidates contesting are distributed to the candidates.
By August 31, 2004 any
withdrawals should be sent to Honorary Secretary in writing.
By September 30, 2004
the Honorary Secretary shall send by certificate of posting the list of the
candidates contesting and their bio-data printed in a book-let for postal
balloting by all the eligible members of the RSSDI.
By October 15, 2004 the
ballot papers are returnable.
If any of the above
dates is a postal holiday, the next day shall be considered as working day.
Results of the election
shall be announced during annual scientific meeting, and new office bearers
along with EC members installed.
Any candidate, sending
bio-data, indulging in any other form of canvassing directly to members
(voters) or collecting ballot papers from voters, shall be disqualified. If
any candidate or member is found indulging in the same, he or she shall be
debarred from the election and shall be debarred from contesting elections
for next three consecutive years.

RULES FOR ELECTION
Attention of members is invited
to the following rules of election.
Put X in the squares against any
two names for the post of all-India EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE Member, put X in the
squares against any one name from each zone for EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBER viz.
North, West, South, and East Regions.
Canvassing in any form and
collection of ballot papers by contesting candidates and/or others is not
allowed. If any candidate or anyone on his behalf is found indulging in the
same, he/she shall be disqualified from the election and shall be debarred from
contesting elections for the next three consecutive years. EACH MEMBER MUST SEND
THE BALLOT PAPER DIRECTLY TO RSSDI OFFICE BY POST.
Members may apply to the RSSDI
Office, for a duplicate Ballot Paper. In case the original is lost, misplaced or
spoilt while recording their votes, duplicate ballot paper will be supplied only
on written request and by post. If such a member received both the original as
well as the duplicate ballot paper, he/she will mark the votes in the DUPLICATE
BALLOT PAPER ONLY and theoriginal should be returned to RSSDI Office immediately
without marking the votes.
The ballot paper is enclosed
herewith.
HOW TO POST THE BALLOT PAPERS
Members after recording their
votes on the ballot paper should put the same in the smaller envelope marked "A"
and then put it in the bigger envelope marked "B" and put signature in the space
below the RSSDI logo on envelope "B". To enable the members to return the ballot
papers, a reply post envelope "C" with Rs.4 stamps is also enclosed. Put the
envelope marked "B" in the reply envelope "C" and post it so as to reach the
RSSDI Office on or before October 15, 2001 by 17.00 hrs. The ballot papers
received after 17.00 hrs on October 15, 2001 will be considered invalid.
The results of the election will
be published in the RSSDI NEWS, and announced in the next Annual Scientific
Meeting.
BALLOT PAPERS WILL BE INVALIDATED
1. If there are more than more
than two crosses for the post of all-India Executive
CommitteeMember, or more than one cross for each Region ie. North, West, South,
East.
2. If the ballot paper is blank
with no vote being recorded OR the cross put in such a
way thatthe voter's choice of the candidate cannot be identified.
3. If the voter puts his/her
signature OR records any mark on ballot paper to reveal
his/heridentity.
4. If the voter fails to record
his signature on the envelope marked "B" returnable to
RSSDIOffice.
5. If the ballot paper is
received after 17.00 hrs on October 15, 2001.
6. If votes are received on both
ballot papers (ORIGINAL and DUPLICATE) both will
be invalidated.

PAPER should reach RSSDI office only after October 1, 2001
